William R. Marburger

WILLIAM R. MARBURGER, age 89 of Lewisburg, OH, died Tuesday, January 24, 2006 at his residence. Born on August 29, 1916 in Dayton, OH, he was the son o fthe late Ralph M. & Bessie E.(Kremer) Marburger. A Preble County resident since 1949, he retired in 1975 after 22 years from General Motors and was a local farmer. A WW II U.S. Army veteran and member of the Libanus Lodge # 80 in Lewisburg. Preceded in death by an infant daughter: Adora in 1959; Granddaughter: Angel Maria Marburger in 1991; Great Grandson: Daniel; Brothers: George, John, Earl, Charles and Ralph Marburger; Sister: Nellie Locke.

Survived by his Wife of 66 years: Freda E.(Houck) Marburger; Sons& Daughters-in-law: Paul & Carolyn Marburger of Brookville, OH, William & Linda Marburger, Greenville, OH and Ed Marburger of Lewisburg, OH; Daughters & Sons-in-law: Gloria Dyke, St. Peterburg, FL, Shirley & Gene Burkett, Lewisburg, OH, Darlene & Arnold Overholt , Lewisburg, OH and Joann & Don Gray, Sidney, OH; Sisters: Ruth Manning, Kettering, OH, Bessie Michael, Florida and Dorothy White, Dayton, OH; Brothers: Paul Marburger, Brookville, OH, and Richard Marburger, Florida; Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 27, 2006 at Barnes Funeral Home - 411 North Commerce Street - Lewisburg, OH with Rev. John Strickland officiating. Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria, OH with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2006 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Masonic Services at 8:00 p.m..
