Wayne D. Richards

WAYNE D. RICHARDS, 85, of Dayton, OH and formerly of Eaton, OH, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton. Born on December 12, 1925 in West Manchester, OH, he was the son of the late Orville Edward and Myrtle Irene (Shewman) Richards. He was a 1943 graduate of Monroe Twp. High School, a Marine Corp veteran of W.W. II and attended The Ohio State University. He was the owner/operator of Richards Clothing and Richards Jackets in Eaton, Kettering Karry-Out and was a real estate agent. He was a former member of the Eaton Lions Club where he served as Tail-Twister and was a Key Member. He loved humor and making people laugh.

Preceded in death by his former wife and friend: Charline Richards in 2010, Brothers: Paul Richards in 2004 and Dale J. Richards in 1995; Sisters: Sarah Motter in 1988 and Edna Mae Thompson in 2002.

Survived by Son: M. Scott (Janet) Richards, Libertyville, IL; Daughters: Christy L. (Greg) Carrier, Chicago, IL and Jennifer A. (Joseph) Harris, Powell, OH; Longtime companion: Vicki Procuniar, Dayton, OH; 7 grandchildren. Nieces, nephews and extended family.

Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at Mound Hill Cemetery (New Part) in Eaton with Rev. Wayne D. Morrison officiating. Military honors by the Preble County Honor Guard.
