Violet A. Whitesell

Violet A. Whitesell, 93, of Eaton, OH, died Friday, March 30, 2012 at Greenbriar Nursing Home in Eaton, OH. Born on April 18, 1918 in Montgomery Co., OH, she was the daughter of the late Orban William & Zelma Corrine (Gilbert) Lentz. Violet had worked for Delco Products in Dayton, OH, Miami University from 1970 to 1983 in the college library and farmed in Israel Twp., Preble Co., OH with her husband for many years. Member of the Preble County Farm Bureau, Farm Bureau Discussion Group, the Modern Mothers Club and the Sugar Valley United Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by her Husband of 62 years, Clifford K. Whitesell in 2010; Brother, Dwaine Lentz; Sister, Cristal Saylor.

Survived by her Daughters, Marcena (Galen) Smith of Kettering, OH and Malia (Curtis) Uhrin of Brookville, PA; Grandchildren, Marissa (David) Ericson, Marin (Wade) Griffiths, Nathan Uhrin, Jared Uhrin and Chad Uhrin; Great Granddaughter, Penelope Ericson; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 2, 2012 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 E. Main St., Eaton, OH with Rev. Gerry Sadai officiating. Interment will be held in Eversole Cemetery near New Lebanon, OH. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday prior to the funeral.
