Ruth D. Vest

RUTH D. VEST, age 94 of Oxford, OH and formerly of Somerville, OH died Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at McCullough-Hyde Hospital in Oxford, OH. Born on April 5, 1913 at Cannel City, Morgan County, KY, she was the daughter of late William A. and Lethia Ann (Lykins) Davidson. Ruth retired in 1975 from National Cash Register in Dayton, OH after 33 years of service, 60 year member of the Paulina Chapter # 360 Order of Eastern Star in West Liberty, KY, lived in Middletown, OH from 1943 to 1956, Somerville, OH from 1956 to 2001 when she moved to Oxford, OH. She was a loving and loyal wife and mother and was respected by her family and friends.

Preceded in death by husband: Charles Scott Vest Sr. in 1978; sons: Harry D. Vest in 1965, Charles S. Vest Jr. in 1995 and William J. Vest in 2005; brothers: John, Jack, Vernon, Edward and Richard Davidson, sisters: Pansy McKenzie, Billie Ashcraft and Bonnie Lee Davidson.

Survived by her daughter: Ruth Ann Vest of Oxford, OH; sister: Dolores D. Jones of Cannel City, KY; daughters-in-law: Gayle Vest, Camden, OH and Carolyn Vest, Hamilton, OH; grandchildren: Charles S. (Sue Ellen) Vest III of AZ, Susan (Steven) Imhoff of Camden, OH, Douglas Vest of Camden, OH, Katherine (Todd) Imbler of University Heights, OH and Christopher (Laura) Vest of Cincinnati, OH. Several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held on Tuesday October 23, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in the Somerville cemetery with Pastor Jay Barden officiating. Arrangements entrusted to Nein-Barnes Funeral Home - 249 North Main Street - Camden, Ohio 45311.
