Roy V. Meikle

Roy V. Meikle, 94, of Eaton, OH and formerly of Tucson, AZ died Sunday morning, February 8, 2009 at Vancrest Health Care Center in Eaton. Born on July 9, 1914 in Tawas City, Michigan he was the son of the late Frank & Ofelphia (Shaffer) Meikle. Roy was a U.S. Army WW II veteran. He farmed in Michigan prior to and after the war. He had worked at Sears and retired in 1977 from the Kruger Manufacturing in Tucson, AZ after 15 years of service. Roy attended the Victory Baptist Church in Tucson and Twin Valley Baptist Church in Eaton.

Preceded in death by his wife: Mathilda "Tilly" (Constandza) Meikle in 1997; one brother and four sisters.

Survived by son & daughter-in-law: Ken & Helene Meikle of Dayton, OH; grandchildren: Theresa E. & David Reiff, Jenny Meikle and William Meikle; Great Grandchildren: Kyle Berry, Colby "CJ" Berry, Christopher Young and Jacqueline Herzer.

Funeral service will be held 6:00 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, OH with Randy Smith & Kyle Berry officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 12, 2009 one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in Dayton National Cemetery - Dayton, Ohio on March 12, 2009 at 1:00 PM.
