Ritadell Geeding

Ritadell "Rita" (Lundy) Geeding, age 77, of Campbellstown, OH, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 26, 2014. Rita was born in Richmond, IN on November 17, 1936 to the late James & Helen M. (Murphy) Lundy. A 1955 graduate of Centerville High School in Centerville, IN. Rita married Floyd Geeding on November 29, 1958 at the Campbellstown United Church of Christ and has lived on the Geeding family farm since they were married. Rita retired from Farm Credit Services. Rita was a farmer's wife and had an appraisal business with her husband, Floyd. Longtime member of the Campbellstown United Church of Christ where she served in a variety of roles, primarily as Treasurer. Past member of Board of Directors of the Fort St. Clair Foundation where she served as Secretary. Past member of Women's Council of Ohio Pork Producers. Member of the Preble County Historical Society. Member of the Republican Women's Organization. Member of the Ohio Farm Bureau. Volunteer of the Preble County Pork Festival.

Preceded in death by her parents and her step mother, Clara Lundy; sisters, Romoa and JoAnn; along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins

Survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Floyd Geeding; two children, Jeff (Lisa) Geeding of Loveland, OH and Joy Barrett of Carmel, IN; four grandchildren, Maggie Barrett, Chris Geeding, Sara Barrett, and Sean Barrett; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Campbellstown United Church of Christ, 2890 W. Florence Campbellstown Rd., Eaton, OH with Pastor Alicia Schroedel and Rev. James Sizelove officiating. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 E. Main St., Eaton, OH and also from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday at the church. The family requests that in Lieu of Flowers contributions may be made to the Campbellstown United Church of Christ, 2890 W. Florence Campbellstown Rd., Eaton, OH 45320.
