Orlin R. Strunk, Sr.

Orlin R. Strunk, Sr., 89 of Somerville, OH, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Born on January 31, 1923 in Combs, KY, son of the late Shelby & Lythia (Shelton) Strunk. Orlin was a 1941 graduate of Combs High School and retired in 1985 from AK Steel. He also enjoyed camping, traveling, puzzle books, and mowing yards. Life Member of the VFW in Hazard, KY. Orlin proudly served in the US Army during World War II.

Preceded in death by his first wife, Madeline (Baker) Strunk in 1952; daughter, Karen Skeens in 2001; sister, Alberta Combs; brothers, Norman, Shelby, Eugene and Jack Strunk.

Survived by Wife of 57 years, Edna Mae (Blair) Strunk; Daughters, Deloris Henson and Jenny & Michael Rumpler all of Somerville, OH; Sons, Kenny & Ronda Strunk of Camden, OH and Orlin & Jill Stunk, Jr. of Eaton, OH; Brother, Robert & Nada Strunk of Loveland, OH; 10 Grandchildren and 27 Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, April 9, 2012 at Somerville United Presbyterian Church, the corner of Church St. & Walnut St., Somerville, OH with Pastor Edward J. Brown officiating. Interment will be held in Somerville Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Monday at the church prior to the funeral.
