Nora D. Moore

NORA DANIELS MOORE, age 95, of Eaton, Ohio, died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Nora was born on October 25, 1916 in Salt Lick, Bath County, Kentucky, daughter of the late Thomas Arthur & Ethel (Mynhier) Daniels. Nora attended Morehead State College in Morehead, Kentucky and graduated in 1968 from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. In 1976 she retired from Camden Elementary School where she taught for 34 years. Nora was a member of the Preble County Retired Teachers Association; the Ohio Educators Association; the National Teachers Association and The United Church of Christ in Eaton.

In addition to her parents Nora is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Clifford Moore; grandson, Daniel Clifford Moore; brothers, Frank, Chester, Howard & Leslie Daniels; sisters, Lillie Daniels, Ella Adair, Willa Kate Daniels, Aletha Wills, Elva McCarty & Christine Swopes.

She is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Daniel A. & Connie Moore and Robert E. & Karole Moore both of Eaton; daughter & son-in-law, Linda Sue & Arlie Kirkpatrick of Amherst, New York; 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends and students.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 am, Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at The Church of Christ, 725 US Rt. 35 W., Eaton, Ohio 45320 with Minister Paul Nichols officiating. Interment will be held in Preble Memory Gardens near West Alexandria, Ohio. Family will receive friends on Monday, January 30, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Barnes Funeral Homes, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio 45320.
