Marguerite K. Meeks

Marguerite K. (Remaklus) Meeks, age 88, of Eaton, Ohio died Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Indiana. Born on March 14, 1927 in Fort Recovery, (Mercer County), Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas Mark & Louise (Steinbrunner) Remaklus. She worked at Wright's IGA for 30 years and retired from Marsh in Eaton, Ohio. She was very active with the Preble County Senior Center. Member of Visitation Catholic Church in Eaton, Ohio.

Preceded in death by Husband: Karl L. Meeks in 2002; Sisters: Catherine Current, Sister Colette Remaklus, OP, Sister Lorette Remaklus, OP, Mary Bergman and Ann L. Keesling; Brothers: John D. Remaklus, William J. Remaklus and Joseph H. Remaklus.

Survived by Three Sons & Daughters in law: Tom L. (Martha) Meeks, Washington, NC; Jerry L. (Pamela) Meeks, Macedonia, OH and James R. Meeks, Piqua, OH; Three Daughters & Sons in law: Ann L. (Alan) Miciak, Pittsburgh, PA; Janet K. (Stuart) Wright, Muncie, IN and Jeanie M. (James) Thomas, Waterville, OH; Brother: Lee Remaklus, Eaton, OH; 13 Grandchildren: Jennifer S. (Clay) Harris, Stephanie L. (Evan) Barta, Kevin K. (Jeanette) Meeks, Jason M. Meeks, Claire L. Meeks, Cody J. Meeks, Wade E. Meeks, Emma L. Miciak, Derrick S. Wright, Sara Catherine Wright, Kayleigh D. Wright, Katie M. Thomas and James M. Thomas; 3 Great Grandchildren: Annie, Eli and Tyler; Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Visitation Catholic Church, 407 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Rev. J. Thomas Fitzsimmons officiating. Inurnment will be held in Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 5 – 7 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main St., Eaton, OH.
