Lawanda E. Knox

Lawanda E. Knox, age 74, of New Paris, Ohio, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at Reid Hospital and Healthcare Services in Richmond, Indiana. She was born on January 8, 1941 in Heber Springs, Arkansas, daughter of the late Willie Jack and Nelsie Jane (Dill) Heigle. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by an infant son, Billy Knox in 1960; sister, Willie May Longfellow and half- brother, Ronnie Heigle.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Richard L. Knox; daughters and son-in-law, Patricia A. (Jay) Sanner of New Paris and Pamela J. Knox and her companion, Kenny Gollahon of Brookville, Ohio; brother, Bobby (Donna) Heigle of Richmond, Indiana; half-sisters, Connie (Edward) Hines of Richmond: Karol (Ronnie) Lampton and Brenda Gray both of Batesville, Arkansas; brothers-in-law and spouses, Robert (Shirley) Knox and Paul E. (Delores) Knox both of New Paris; Sisters-in-law and spouses, Beatrice Lawrence of New Madison, Ohio, Doris Smallwood, Phyllis (Herb) Turner, Miriam (Ed) Brown and Carol (Wayne) Bowman all of New Paris; grandchildren, Natasha (Cody) Brown, Candace Baker, Dustin Baker (companion Chantelle Frame), Taryn (Jobe) Hickey and Dakota Gulling; great grandchildren, Dawson, Davin, Desmyn, and Ayman Stephens, Avan Lindemood, Rayna Baker and Knox Hickey; nieces and nephews; close friend, Wilma Moore of New Paris.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Barnes Funeral Home, 109 W. Main St., New Paris, Ohio with the funeral service to be held at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor Pam Weaver will officiate. Interment will be held in Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris.
