John W. Davidson

John W. Davidson, 77 of Lewisburg, OH died Friday, February 7, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Dayton, OH. John was born on September 29, 1936 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Richard Harley and Helen Corrine (Beagle) Davidson. He was a 1954 graduate of Lewisburg-Union High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. John was a tool maker at Harrison Radiator in Dayton, OH for over 30 years, and loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his family and friends. He was a lifetime member of the Twin Valley Rod and Gun Club; member of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association and the Dayton Muzzle Loading Gun Club.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Davidson in 2007.

John is survived by his wife of 46 years, Brenda J. (Stringfield) Davidson; children and spouses, William (Rachel) Davidson of Lewisburg, James (Linda) Davidson of Australia, Roger (Cille) Davidson of Eldorado, OH and Amanda (Katie Branch) of Erlanger, KY; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 14, 2014 at Barnes Funeral Home, 411 N. Commerce Street, Lewisburg, OH 45338. Interment will be held in Sugar Grove Cemetery near West Alexandria, OH with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
