James C. Brown

JAMES C. "J. C." BROWN, 75, of Camden, Ohio, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at Heartland of Eaton in Eaton, Ohio. Born March 25, 1933 in Hancock County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Robert & Onalee (Brooks) Brown. He was a Korean War veteran in the U.S. Army and a truck driver for Yellow Freight in Columbus for 44 years, retiring on June 8, 1998. He was a member of the Teamsters Union #957 in Dayton, Ohio the Eagles # 2202 in Eaton, life member of the V.F.W. Post 8066 in Eaton, member of the American Legion Post 215 in Eaton and past commander of the V.F.W. Post 9936 in Dayton. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his daughters, Tracey Ann Brown in 1964 and Elizabeth Gail Brown in1980; sister, Lucille Bledsoe and brothers, Joe and Paul Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Patty G. (Steele) Brown; daughter, Tina Ann Parker and granddaughter, Shannon E. Parker both of San Antonio, Texas; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside Service with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 2008 at Fairmount Cemetery in Camden with Pastor Columbus Carl Marcum officiating.
