Geraldine S. Johnson

Geraldine S. Johnson, 85, of West Alexandria, OH died Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at her residence. Born on March 6, 1931 in Ashland, KY she was the daughter of the late Elza & Sophia (Kirk) Salyer. A 1948 graduate of Coal Grove, Ohio high school and has lived in Preble County since 1958. She was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Lewisburg. Preceded in death by Sisters: Lucille Hackworth, Freida DeNino, Mary Elizabeth Vaughn and Paula Jones. Brother: Robert Salyer.

Survived by her Husband of 67 years: Ray E. Johnson; Daughters: Vanessa Garrett of West Alexandria, OH; Lisa (Matthew) Hanley of Dayton, OH; Cynthia (Mark) May of West Alexandria, OH; Sons: Jeffrey Ray (Virginia) Johnson of Fayetteville, NC; Christopher (Randy) Johnson of Fayetteville, NC; Sisters: Delores (Dud) Smith of Coal Grove, OH and Patricia (Larry) Zumbro of Stockport, OH; Brothers: Elza Hager (Betty) Salyer of Springfield, OH and Charles (Bonnie) Salyer of Eastman, GA; 5 Grandchildren, 7 Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.

Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Monday, April 4, 2016 at the First Missionary Baptist Church, 608 North Commerce Street, Lewisburg, Ohio with the funeral service to be held 12:00 PM at the church with Jeffrey Ray Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Sugar Grove Cemetery West Alexandria, OH.
