Charlotte G. Lincoln

CHARLOTTE G. LINCOLN, age 96, of Eaton, Ohio, died Sunday, June 8, 2008 at Vancrest Nursing Center in Eaton. She was born on August 30, 1911 in Washington Township (Preble County), Ohio, daughter of the late Mahlon Wells & Mary Elizabeth (Morningstar) Marshall. She was a 1930 graduate of Monroe Township High School and a graduate of Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio where she received her Bachelor of Education degree. She taught second grade in the Eaton City School District for 37 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Eaton, Preble County Retired Teachers Association, Ohio Retired Teachers Association and the National Retired Teachers Association.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by husband, P.C. "Cliff" Lincoln in 1994; sisters, B. Loree Christman in 1999 and Alma Sittloh in 1995.

She is survived by her niece, Rhea "Jean" Heeter of Lewisburg, Ohio; great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, June 12, 2008 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main Street, Eaton, Ohio with Rev. Warren Reichert officiating. Interment will be held in Mound Hill Union Cemetery in Eaton. Family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
