Charles E. Gibbs

Charles E. Gibbs, 65 of Eaton, OH, died Saturday, September 12, 2015 at the Cleveland Clinic. Born on March 14, 1950 in Eaton, OH, he was the son of the late William Henry & Ada (Epperson) Gibbs. Charles worked for Globe Motors for 20 years in Dayton and H & S Screw Products in New Paris. A 1969 graduate of Eaton High School, an avid camper, he loved corn hole, horseshoes and his golf cart.

Preceded in death by Brothers: James William Gibbs, Lawrence Wayne Gibbs and Johnnie Hugh Gibbs.

Survived by his Wife of 42 years: Fern M. (Horn) Gibbs; Daughters: April M. Gibbs and Wendy D. (Jesse) Keith, all of Eaton, OH; Brothers: Warren L. (Ava) Gibbs, Eaton, OH and Dale T. (Carolyn) Gibbs, Rocky Top, TN; Sisters: Etta Mae (Bob) Patton, Imperial Beach, CA and Mary (Jim) Cail, West Alexandria, OH; Sister-in-law: Marilyn Gibbs, Eaton, OH. Grandchildren: Tyra D. and Jayden A. Gibbs, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 P.M. on Friday, September 18, 2015 at Barnes Funeral Home, 220 East Main St., Eaton, OH with Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Interment will be held in Zion Cemetery, Preble County, OH. Family will receive friends on Friday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
