Carolyn D. Bussard

Carolyn D. Bussard, 76, of Eldorado, died peacefully Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at her residence. Fifteen years ago, she suffered a ruptured brain aneurism, which required months of hospitalization, and while she never fully recovered, she enjoyed life with her family. Earlier this year however, she was diagnosed with NonHodgkins Lymphoma, from which she could not recover.

Carolyn was born July 8, 1936, the daughter of Lester & Treva (Krall) Tamplin. She attended Monroe High School, West Manchester, OH and married her high school sweetheart, Ronald M. Bussard on August 1, 1953.

In addition to raising two children, Carolyn formerly worked at the Richmond Arms & Blue Note restaurants & Gene Thompson Motors - all in Richmond, IN; and was employed at McDonalds in Eaton when the aneurism changed her life forever. Carolyn loved flowers, and was a member of the former Eldorado Flower Club. She also enjoyed belonging to the Eldorado Bridge Club and the Fire Department Auxillary.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Ronald Kim Bussard.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald M. Bussard, a former teacher in the Dayton School System; daughter Jeanine Kay Bussard, Greenville, OH; sister Barbara (Gaynor) Petry, New Paris, OH; sister-in-law Jill (Nick) Vaniman, Eldorado, OH; several nieces & nephews. "She will leave a void in all our hearts."

A visitation for family & friends will be held Saturday, September 1, 2012, from 11:00am to1:00pm at the Bussard-Barnes-Vaniman Funeral Home, 311 N. Main St., Eldorado, OH, with Pastor Bryan Rea concluding the visitation with a reading & prayer at 1:00pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Greenmound Cemetery, New Madison, OH.
