Arthur A. Pinkstaff, Jr. age 77, of Eaton, Ohio died Sunday, July 18, 2004 at Kettering Medical Center. Born on August 14, 1926 in Fayetteville, TN he was the son of the late Arthur A. & Lauree (Nichols) Pinkstaff, Sr. Arthur served with the U.S. Navy during W.W. II and attended Cleveland State University where he received his B.S. Degree in Communications with honors. He was a Professor at Lakeland Community College in Mentor, Ohio for 21 years and had worked for the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services as the Cleveland Regional Unemployment Supervisor retiring in 1988 after 26 years of service. Past member of Roaming Shores Rotary Club, member of Eaton Church of The Brethren and taught Sunday School and YMCA at Eaton. Preceded in death by Sister: Marion E. Pinkstaff in 1981.

Survived by his Wife of 58 years: Sonia L. (Arnold) Pinkstaff. Son & Daughter-In-Law: Wayne A. & Dora M. Pinkstaff of Eaton, Ohio; Daughter: Peggy Tekavic of Willoughby, Ohio; Sister: Jacqueline Pinkstaff of Phoenix, AZ; 7 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 21, 2004 - 11:00 AM at Eaton Church of The Brethren - 1407 North Barron Street - Eaton, Ohio with Pastor Marion J. Noll officiating. Interment will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery - Eaton, Ohio with full military honors provided by the Preble County Honor Guard. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Barnes Funeral Home - 220 East Main Street - Eaton, Ohio. Memorials may be made to Arthritis Foundation - Southwestern Ohio Chapter - 3535 Southern Blvd. - Kettering, Ohio 45429.
