Obituary for Meryl C. McCampbell

Meryl C. McCampbell, 89, of Camden, OH, died Sunday, November 12, 2017 in Oxford, OH. Born on July 31, 1928 in Cedarville, Greene County, OH, he was the son of the late Gray W. & Edna (Collins) McCampbell. Meryl was a farmer in Dixon & Israel Twps. He was 1946 Dixon High School graduate, Elder, Trustee and longtime member of the choir of the Fairhaven Community Church, Preble County Farm Bureau, Dixon Israel Men’s Club, Latecomers Discussion Group, Dixon Alumni basketball and had a custom seed cleaning business and had also worked at Miami University. Preceded by his Wife: K. Virginia (Cail) McCampbell on May 8, 2017; Brothers: Harry McCampbell and George W. McCampbell; Sister: Clara E. Linscott. Survived by Children: Roger L. & Vanessa M. McCampbell of Camden, OH; Ray N. & Ruth McCampbell of Eaton, OH and Ross W. & April McCampbell of Ft. Wayne, IN. 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces & nephews. Family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Fairhaven Community Church, 6585 Israel Somers Road, Camden, OH. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM with Rev. Dr. Richard Studebaker officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Cemetery.
