Danny Ray Simpson

Danny Ray Simpson, 69 of Loveland, Ohio and formerly of Preble County, Ohio died on October 23, 2017. Born on June 2nd, 1948 in Richmond, Indiana he was the son of the late William & Janet Simpson. He was raised in New Paris, Ohio and graduate from Jefferson Township High School in 1967. After graduation he enlisted into the U.S. Air Force and served during the Vietnam War as a crew chief on B52 Bombers. Danny received several commendations and achieved the rank of Technical Sergeant. Following his discharge, he continued to work as a civilian employee for the U.S. Air Force for several years. He subsequently worked as a quality assurance supervisor for several companies.  Danny was a talented cook and loved cooking for family and friends. His favorite hobby was building and flying radio-controlled airplanes for the past 50 years. Danny will be greatly missed by family and friends. 

Danny is survived by his daughter Christy Simpson Cayce and son Steven Simpson; 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; Brother: Wayne (Jone) Simpson and his fiancé Kathy Jeffrey.

A graveside memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Spring Lawn Cemetery in New Paris, Ohio. Full military honors will be provided by the Preble County Honor Guard.
